We share complex, interconnected lives that are changing in profound ways. Most profound is that our ability to influence change has never been greater -- when we come together. Often x Better is gathering up what innovates and inspires us, plays to our collective strengths and charts the course to virtuous cycles in our communities and endeavors; with the guiding concept of Social Wealth Creation.

ON YOUR TEAM

I'M THERE FOR YOU AND THE BIG PICTURE

Holding the greatest challenges you face through the lens of having the highest positive social impact shifts the view from "your" team to "our" team, and from there we can undergo the metamorphosis that's possible with social entrepreneurship. With this platform, my hope is to document and demonstrate this as a growing movement, revealing surprising and encouraging ways many other people are on "our team" doing this too.

Scott Kuron Hamilton

I'm dedicated to the ideas and efforts that transform vicious cycles into virtuous ones.

There are no limits to what aspects of society - small or large - this can be applied to: be it local, civic life and enterprise; social media and communications; politics, government, environment and the economy; we have the creativity, innovative spirit and collective power to make our living systems thrive -- for profound, positive change.

My career path has been marked by intersections of Social Entrepreneurship, Hospitality and Sustainability.

Working in start-ups, non-profit organizations and events I've taken on leadership, operations and supporting roles which exposed me to the many aspects of making an impact in purpose, community and innovation driven settings. These enterprises advanced concepts in areas such as: local and regional economies, sustainable business development, transportation and land use, housing, health and wellness, community arts and leisure, and communications in technology and teamwork.

I simultaneously maintained a consistent presence in the service industry, working nearly every position in restaurants, bars and catering. I gravitated towards leadership in hospitality settings as I saw the many tenets of social entrepreneurship play out in the daily routine of running a restaurant. In this environment I've learned how to translate ideas of social impact into tangible, day-to-day results. Making great ideas and change a reality is envisioning and cultivating understanding of how they dovetail with people living their lives, striving to do better.

It is in keeping engagement and study in seemingly divergent avenues of work that I've gained insights into how multi-faceted and unconventional approaches can weave together. Rather than treat one event to the next as a crossroads, I can help transform the journey into a tapestry, shifting the view to the big picture.

"A jack of all trades is a master of none, though oftentimes better than a master of one."
